The Astor House Hotel in Shanghai, China, is more than 100 years old and was completed by a Westerner in 1846. It is located in the Shanghai Huangpu District, an area of more than 12 kilometers. The hotel is about 18 kilometers from Hongqiao Airport. From Hongqiao, the subway to Henan Zhonglu Station takes 10 minutes and is a short distance from Astor House. Renovations in 2002 updated the hotel. One kilometer from the hotel, Nanjin Road offers financial and shopping areas as well as museums and art galleries.
