Location.
Le Chateau d'Esclimont is located in St Symphorien le Chateau, France, 20 kilometres from Chartres town centre and 50 kilometres from the Palace of Versailles. Paris Orly Airport (ORY) is eight kilometres from the hotel.

Hotel Features.
Set within 150 acres of woodland which includes a lake, Le Chateau d'Esclimont is a magnificent example of a sixteenth century French chateau and was once home to the French 17th-century writer La Rochefoucauld. There is an open-air heated swimming pool and two tennis courts. The hotel also has its own 17th-century wine cellar and offers wine-tasting evenings.

There is a restaurant on site, La Rochefoucauld, serving traditional French cuisine. There is also a cocktail bar, Louis XVIII. Both the restaurant and bar are decorated in rich 18th-century style.

The hotel offers a conference room accommodating up to 250 people.

Taxis from the airport cost approximately 80 EUR each way.


Driving directions. Take freeway in the direction of Bordeaux (A10). At the toll, exit in direction of Chartres (A11). Exit at Ablis. At toll, again follow direction for Chartres. Go straight on until signs for St Symphorien le Chateau. Take a right. Go straight, bearing right and continue straight. Hotel entrance is 800 metres down on the right.
