Taxis are available from the airport. There are direct TGV trains to Saumur from Nantes, Paris and Lyon; the journey takes 100 minutes from Paris. It is best to explore the local area on foot, by bike or by car. Driving directions: Saumur is 5 km from exit 3 of the A85 motorway. Follow signs for Saumur - Doue La Fontaine Montreuil Bellay along the main road ("route nationale") 147. Cross over the river Loire by the "Pont du Cadre Noir" bridge and follow directions to Saumur town centre. Go straight ahead at the next two roundabouts and pass the LECLERC hypermarket. At the next traffic lights turn left (rue d'Alsace), and at the next roundabout turn left again into the "rue d'Orleans". The hotel is located at number 48.
