The family-run Hotel Am Tratzhof is housed in a half- timbered, low-rise residence characteristic of the east German village of Tratzhof in which it is set. All 32 neutrally decorated guestrooms come complete with simple furnishings, cable television and private bathrooms equipped with complimentary toiletries. Following a pre-dinner drink in the family lounge overlooking forest pastures, guests sample suckling pig, home cooked sausage or roasted goose in the typically German, country-style restaurant. Taxis are readily available outside both terminals of Frankfurt Airport. Regular buses stop at the bus station in front of the Terminal 1 Arrivals hall on level 1 and at the bus bay in front of the Arrivals/Departures halls on level 2, Terminal 2. A bus stop is located directly opposite the hotel and connects with the centre of Fulda, but guests may find own transport or rental car useful during their stay.
