Location.
The Hotel le Capanne is located in San Giuliano Terme, Italy, within three kilometres of the centre of the village and 12 kilometres from Pisa. The beaches at Tirrenia are 15 kilometres from the hotel.

Hotel Features.
The Hotel le Capanne is a restored 17th Century villa situated amid olive groves high up in the Pisan hills. Consisting of five adjacent buildings, stone steps link pathways to the main villa courtyard, the pool and the flowered terraces. There is a large solarium and two large living rooms, a small library and an Internet point with complimentary access. Other hotel amenities include room service (limited hours) and laundry facilities.

A complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning. The restaurant at Hotel Le Capanne serves local dishes and wines. Guests can enjoy al fresco dining and views of the Valley of Pisa on the restaurant terrace. The hotel also houses a bar.

Expert Tip. San Giuliano Terme is known curative waters. The main reason you'll want to head there is for the baths and the mud. Hot, steamy and definitely recommended.

From Pisa Airport (PSA):
Distance to Hotel le Capanne is 15 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.


Getting there.
A direct train service runs between Pisa Airport and the city centre. Services also run from the airport to Pontedera, Florence, and Empoli. Single tickets cost approximately 1.20 EUR to Pisa, and 5 EUR to Florence. Buses run from outside arrivals to central Pisa, Livorno, Lucca, and Pietrasanta. Taxis to the city centre cost around 6-8 EUR and 40 EUR to the hotel. Prices are all subject to change.


Getting around.
Pisa's city centre is compact and easy to explore on foot. Cycling is popular for visiting the outskirts of the city and the river. Public buses run throughout the city, and CPT buses operate throughout the region. A hire car is useful for exploring the surrounding areas of Tuscan countryside.


Driving directions. From Pisa airport, take the Via Caduti di Kindu. Take Via Asmara and turn left for Via San Giusto. Turn left onto Via delle Colombaie, then exit Pisa. Turn left onto Via Mezzaniana and follow signs for San Giuliano Terme. Once in San Giuliano Terme, follow the signs to Le Capanne to reach the hotel.
