Getting there: There is an express train service every 30 minutes to Rome's Termini train station (journey time 30 minutes). A single ticket costs around €10. The closest railway station to Talamone is in Fonteblanda, but since it is small, only local trains stop there. So travel to Grosseto (if coming from the north) or Orbetello (from the south) and then take a Rama bus to Talamone. Taxis are readily available at the airport, but take a licensed metered taxi only, an airport surcharge is payable and a taxi to Rome city centre will cost 50-60 EUR. Driving directions: When driving from the airport, follow the Rome/Civitavecchia motorway and then the SS1 Aurelia Road in the direction of Grosseto. Take the exit for Fonteblanda/Talamone.
