Situated on 150 acres of rolling greens overlooking the South China Sea, the Westin Resort Macau is located on Coloane Island in Macau, which is comprised of two islands (Coloane and Taipa) and a peninsula (Macau) just south of mainland China. Once labeled "the oldest European enclave in Asia," Macau was under Portuguese rule and cultural influence. Today the island is a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China, but retains a high degree of autonomy. Coloane Island is less than eight square kilometers in size, so the Westin resort is close to all the major attractions, including the narrow, shop-lined lanes of Coloane Village, the chapel of St. Francis Xavier, which now houses a Sao Paulo Museum, the Tam Kung temple, and Hac Sa Beach, a popular beach with black-tinged sand.

The hotel will be renovating the indoor swimming pool from May 19, 2008 to May 22, 2008. During this time, the outdoor swimming pool will remain in operation and will not be affected by the renovation.

The WestinWORKOUT gym will be undergoing major renovation from May 27, 2008 to June 27, 2008. During this time, some of the fitness equipment will be relocated to a temporary gym on level 2, in the Pombal function room. The Health Club locker room will still be available for guest use during the renovation.

Driving Directions

The hotel is situated on the island of Coloane off the Macau peninsula, 15 minutes from Macau Ferry Pier and 10 minutes from Macau International Airport.
The hotel operates a shuttle bus to and from the Macau Ferry Pier. Buses depart every 30 minutes starting from 7:15am to 12:00midnight. Prior booking is required, as limited seating is available.
