Location.
The Taj Coral Reef Resort is located in North Male Atoll, part of the Maldive Islands, and is set directly on the beach. It is 32 kilometres from the island of Male and its National Museum.

Hotel Features.
Set on a beach with its own private reef, the boutique Taj Coral Reef Resort is spread over several buildings and extends into the sea. Guests can enjoy games of beach tennis, volleyball and football, work out in the fitness room, and relax in the Mandara Spa with a Balinese massages and a range of beauty services. The hotel also has an outdoor pool, offers table tennis and snooker facilities, and organised excursions include seaplane flights over the reef, sunset cruises around the lagoon, and picnics to the uninhabited island of Olahali.

Guests of the Taj Coral Reef Resort can enjoy an international buffet at the Rukkuri restaurant with its panoramic views, sample local seafood at the beachfront Hembadu Palm Grill, and take in the sunset from the palm-fringed outdoor deck of the Reef Bar. The hotel also offers a beach bar, and a complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily.

The resort houses an onsite diving school, and further water sports facilities include water skiing, wind surfing, and deep sea fishing.


Villas.
The 65 guestrooms are spread across Lagoon Villas, built on stilts over the sea and extending to private decks, and Beach Villas with sun decks, hammocks and open-air showers. All villas feature modern island-style decor with crisp, white linen, and amenities include air conditioning, Internet connections, satellite television with DVD players, minibars, safes, and desks.

Getting there.
The easiest way to reach the hotel from the airport is by hire car or taxi.


Getting around. The individual islands of the Maldives, can be explored on foot or by taxi. The main form of navigation between islands is the dhoni, a traditional all-purpose vessel usually powered by a diesel engine.
