Part of a modern shopping and dining complex built in 2000, the Baystreet Hotel is located by St Georges Bay overlooking the sandy beach, in Malta's main nightlife area. The hotel is part of the Bay Street complex, which offers many shops, restaurants, bars and leisure attractions including a multi-screen cinema, IMAX theatre, bowling alley and a casino. There is also a sandy beach 100 metres away. Malta International Airport is an approximate driving time of 25 minutes and a distance of 12 kilometres.

There is a full fixed fare taxi service to all areas of Malta. A taxi booth is located in the Welcomers' Hall where pre-paid tickets may be purchased. Alternatively, bus no. 8 departs regularly to/from Valletta and leaves from a bus stop outside the check-in hall.
