Location.
Ryad Mogador Essaouira is a modern Moorish-style hotel set in ornate gardens, located 250 metres from the sandy beach and one kilometre from the picturesque Medina. Marrakech Menara Airport is 180 kilometres away, and takes around 150 minutes by car.

Hotel Features.
The hotel is surrounded by ornate gardens and has an outdoor pool, a poolside bar, and a 24-hour front desk and lobby furnished in a rich, Moorish style with polished floors, ornate rugs, polished stone pillars and detailed wood finish. There is also a gym, a sauna, a hammam steam room and a massage treatment room to help guests unwind. Car hire can be arranged at the hotel, and complimentary parking is available on site.

Guests of Ryad Mogador have a choice of dining options including: La Scala which is an à la carte restaurant serving a variety of Moroccan specialities, and Le Tamusiga is a contemporary Moroccan restaurant serving international dishes. No alcohol is served in the hotel, however refreshing juices and soft drinks are available at Le Chems poolside bar.

The 140 air-conditioned guestrooms are located on four floors. All are decorated in warm souk colours with modern furnishings. Amenities include cable television, direct-dial phones and minibars. The half-board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast and dinner each day.


Expert Tip.
The Medina of Essaouira is a UNESCO World Heritage Listed City, and visitors can wander down to the small fishing harbour and along the winding narrow streets lined with colourful souks and food stalls. Essaouira is also renowned for its windsurfing, with the powerful north-eastern trade wind blowing almost constantly onto the calm, protected bay.

Getting there.Bus 11 runs to centre of Marrakech every half an hour although services can be unpredictable. There are taxi phones in the arrival and departure lounges and taxis can be caught near the bus stop. Fares to the hotel cost around 100 EUR. It is recommended to agree the price before commencing the journey. Essaouira can be explored on foot and bicycles are available for hire at the hotel.
