Buses leave regularly from the airport to the central bus station in Santa Cruz de Tenerife at La Avenida Marítima, from where one can get a bus to Puerto de la Cruz. Taxis on the island are relatively cheap, and there is also a bus network that services most of the main sites of interest. Driving directions: From the airport, take the Southbound highway TF 5 to Santa Cruz, then the TF 1 to Puerto de la Cruz.
