Location.
The Blau Porto Petro Beach Resort and Spa is located on a peninsula next to the marina in the fishing village of Porto Petro on the island of Mallorca, Spain, three kilometres from the Mondrago Nature Reserve. The Caves of Drach are 30 kilometres away and Palma is 60 kilometres from the hotel.

Hotel Features.
The Blau Porto Petro Beach Resort is spread along 900 metres of coastline surrounded by pine trees. The resort incorporates two coves with sandy beaches as well as three heated outdoor pools, one indoor pool and a children's pool. The onsite spa offers steam baths, spa tubs, hydro-massage and beauty treatments.

The Blau Porto Petro offers four onsite restaurants: Ran de Mar offers an international buffet; Galani serves Mediterranean fare; Midori offers a range of Japanese dishes; and tapas and paella are served in La Finca. Bar Estels serves cocktails and cigars, and the resort also features three poolside bars. Most meals and drinks in Ran de Mar are complimentary for guests on the full-board rate plan. Guests not on the full-board rate plan will be charged for meals and drinks.

Onsite sporting facilities include tennis, shooting, archery and petanque. The resort also houses a fitness centre. The beach offers opportunities for sailing and diving lessons, snorkelling, windsurfing and canoeing. Catamarans, pedaloes and bicycles are available for hire. The Blaudi Club offers supervised entertainment for toddlers to teenagers.


Guestrooms.
The 319 guestrooms at the Blau Porto Petro Resort are decorated with a warm, modern palette of natural reds and browns. All open onto balconies and feature minibars, satellite television, CD players and high-speed Internet (surcharge). Bathrooms offer under-floor heating, robes and complimentary toiletries. Expert Tip. The Caves of Drach feature three subterranean chambers and one of the largest underground lakes in the world, where live concerts of works by Chopin, Offenbach and others are performed by musicians on boats.

Getting there.
A taxi is the recommended way of reaching the hotel. Taxis wait in front of the Arrivals hall, near Gate D. Prices are all subject to change.


Getting around.
Porto Petro, like all the resorts of Mallorca, is best explored on foot. Buses run throughout Palma, and to many villages and towns on Mallorca. Trains link Palma to Inca and Soller. Hiring a car is useful for exploring more of the island.


Driving directions.
From the airport, follow signs to the MA-19 motorway, heading towards Santanyi.
Continue to Santanyi and follow signs to Alqueria Blanca and then Porto Petro.
Once in Porto Petro, drive past the port.
The Resort is next to the Porto Petro Sailing Club.
