Surrounded by promenades and gardens, the Hotel María Cristina is housed in a five-storey Belle Epoque building located by the Urumea River, three blocks from the Old Town and four blocks from La Concha Beach. Biarritz International Airport is 40 kilometres away and can be reached by car in approximately 45 minutes.

Buses and taxis are available for transfer from Biarritz Airport to the centre of Bilbao. From there, coaches are available to San Sebastian (trip takes about an hour). Buses connect the hotel with the rest of San Sebastian within 15 minutes. Taxis can also be ordered via the hotel.
