The Scandic Mölndal is a modern environmentally friendly hotel built in 2000 and situated in Mölndal, six kilometres south of Gothenburg city centre. This six- floor hotel features 208 guestrooms built to high environmental standards, decorated in light tones with bright coloured fabrics and Scandinavian wooden floors and furnishings. In-room amenities include satellite TV with pay movies, Internet access and tea/coffee making facilities. After a day's sightseeing guests can rejuvenate in the relaxation centre on the sixth floor of the hotel, taking in views over Molndal whilst unwinding in the frothing bubbles of the spa tub or relaxing in the sauna. The coffee shop provides a quiet place to sip a cappuccino while browsing books borrowed from the hotel library, and the restaurant and bar provide additional food and refreshments. Children have their own check-in desk and receive a surprise gift on arrival, while Sigge the Hedgehog's play room has plenty of toys to keep kids entertained. The coffee shop has a kid's video corner and in the restaurant there is a pancake buffet breakfast especially for young guests. Guests arriving by car will find free parking for 200 cars at the rear of the property. Gothenburg Landvetter Airport is 30 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 40 minutes.

Taxis are available from outside the arrivals terminal and Flygbussarna Airport buses run from the airport to Gothenburg city centre. Taxis should cost around SEK 70. For those arriving by train the nearest train station is Mölndals Centrum/Mölndals Bro. A car would be useful to access Gothenburg city centre and nearby attractions whilst the city has an excellent tram and bus network.
