Housed in a 15th century coaching inn, the beamed Falstaff Hotel is situated in the heart of historic Canterbury, 400 metres from the Royal Museum and Art Gallery. The 46 guestrooms have decor in a traditional style with floral patterned fabrics and antique-style furniture. All guestrooms include televisions with pay movies, direct-dial telephones, tea and coffee making facilities, and Internet connections. Modern British dishes are served at breakfast, lunch and dinner in the brasserie-style Othello's restaurant, while lighter pub fare is on the menu at the old-fashioned Four Seasons Lounge Bar. In the evenings, guests can relax with a book in the cosy lounge, which has exposed beams and antique furnishings, or chat over a pint of local ale in the bar. Room service is on offer between certain hours, and staff at the 24-hour front desk can advise on local amenities and attractions. Guests can visit the Canterbury Tales Museum 600 metres away, or Canterbury Cathedral 700 metres away. London Heathrow Airport is 50 miles from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 90 minutes.
