The Thistle Hotel is housed in a grand 19th century listed building situated opposite Newcastle train station, one kilometer from St James Park stadium. The Airport Metro station is located right next to the main terminal. Travel time is approximately 20-25 mins to the city center and trains run as often as every 7 minutes. Guests should take the metro to Newcastle Central Station, opposite the hotel. Taxis and bus services also serve the airport. From A1 follow signs to city center via Gateshead Bypass and over the Redheugh Bridge. Turn right at 1st traffic lights, left at next traffic lights and take next right down Bewick Street (Buses and access only). Thistle Newcastle can be found on left. There are 25 car parking spaces at no charge.
