The charming home is furnished with elegant Georgian, Victorian, and Edwardian antique furniture and prints, gathered during the proprietors residency in the United Kingdom where she restored a fairy-tale 16th century thatched cottage. Hand-made and hand-decorated porcelains by Royal Doulton, Royal Worcester, Royal Stratford, Aynsley, and others forming fanciful characters such as Sherlock Holmes, Alice in Wonderland, and King Henry the Eighth adorn niche and nook. There are five tasteful bedrooms, each with a king or queen-sized 4-poster bed, with additional twin beds available. Throughout the year several special events are held at Hanover House. Take State Route 16 east from Newark, or west from resden, to the County Road 668 sign located two traffic lights east of the Longaberger Basket headquarters building. Turn north onto County Road 668 also called Licking Valley Road and follow the smaller Licking Valley Road signs to the right, over the railroad tracks, and through the small village of Hanover. Proceed straight through the traffic light and past the filling station in Hanover. In Hanover, Licking Valley Road is called High Street, but the road becomes Licking Valley Road again after leaving Hanover. Hanover House B and B is located 2 miles past i.e.north of the filling station in Hanover, on the right-hand side of the road, at 3286 Licking Valley Road. There is a sign out in front, by the road. DIRECTIONS FROM Columbus TO HOTEL Take Interstate 70 east from downtown Columbus to State Route 37. Head west on State Route 37 to State Route 16. Go east on State Route 16 past Newark and then follow the directions above. DIRECTIONS FROM Zanesville TO HOTEL Take Interstate 70 west to the Gratiot/Brownsville Road exit. Go north 1 block to State Route 40. Follow State Route 40 west about 1 mile to Brownsville Road at the Flint Ridge sign. Follow Brownsville Road County Rd 668 north. Cross State Route 16 onto County Road 668 Licking Valley Road and proceed as above.

King and Queen Suite The master bedroom is 18 x 15 with accompanying sitting room and fireplace. Its king-canopied 4-poster bed has a lovely English down and feather duvet. The floor is covered by plush, supple, hunter green carpet and there are walk-in and cedar closets and beautiful matching bedspread and wallpaper. The private bathroom features a roomy shower, separate soaker whirlpool tub, and double-bowled vanities. Prince Andrew Room This quaint and charming room has a beautiful queen-sized 4-poster bed with English down and feather duvet. It shares a pretty bathroom and a large private sitting room with the Princess Margaret room. These two rooms have the top floor all to themselves. There is plush carpet throughout. The views are lovely. Princess Anne Suite This room features a very sweet, rosebud queen-sized 4-poster bed with English down and feather duvet. There is also a matching 4-poster twin bed with a lovely ruffled canopy. There are plush carpets and beautiful matching pillows and wallpaper. The pretty, private bathroom has double-bowled vanities. Prince Charles Suite This large, lovely room features a beautiful cherry-wood king-sized 4-poster bed with English down and feather duvet. There are plush carpets and beautiful matching pillows and wallpaper. The spacious, private bathroom has double-bowled vanities.
